ZAGREB, Dec 21 (Hina) - Ivo Sanader, the president of the largest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), said on Friday it was necessary to reach a consensus on the most important issues of national and state interest,
adding his party would continue working towards that goal. The HDZ has proven that as part of the Opposition it still can constructively fight for the benefit of the Croatian state, Sanader said at a Christmas reception, which was attended by party members, representatives of other parties, and journalists. The HDZ leader said his party wanted to contribute to reducing the number of the socially most vulnerable, unemployed, feeble and dissatisfied, as well as those who wanted to leave Croatia.(hina) rml
