LJUBLJANA, Dec 11 (Hina) - Slovene Premier Janez Drnovsek said Tuesday he would remain at the helm of the government and his party until further notice, despite speculations that he has been considering resigning from both posts in
order to prepare for candidacy in presidential elections, to be held next November. After a closed-door meeting with the top officials of his Slovene Liberal Democrats (LDS) party, Drnovsek said he would again run for party president in January 2002, and "as long as I am the Premier, I will remain the party's president," in order to keep the incumbent coalition stable.
