ZAGREB, Dec 19 (Hina) - The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) Permanent Council will extend the mandate of the organisation's Mission to Croatia for another year on Thursday, the Croatian Foreign Ministry
said in a statement Wednesday. It is expected that within six months the Permanent Council will consider Croatia's progress and make further decisions on the mandate, particularly in connection with the reduction of manpower and increased reliance on governmental and non-governmental institutions in Croatia. Also expected is the appointment of a new Mission head, probably from one of the EU members, the statement read.(hina) np
