Also present at the meeting is the Croatian Assistant Foreign Minster, Josip Paro. The president of an American institution for ethnic relations, Alan Kasoff, said Yugoslavia needed two types of dialogue - internal and dialogue with neighbours. Yugoslavia needs internal dialogue to establish how to correct mistakes from the past, in which the international community can help. The country also has to establish dialogue with neighbours, both the old ones, who experienced major changes in the past decade, and the new ones formed after the break-up of the former Yugoslavia, Kasoff said.
