ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - Premier Ivica Racan said Wednesday he was extremely satisfied with the openness and topics of yesterday's meeting with representatives of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK). "We made new room for dialogue
and tolerance in the relations between the Church and the state", Racan told reporters during his visit to the pharmaceutical company Pliva. Racan reminded the talks between the representatives of the government and the HBK, headed by the Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic, lasted almost four hours. They were held in an extremely good atmosphere. The government told the bishops it was strongly committed to respecting international obligations and agreements between Croatia and the Holy See.
