ZAGREB, Dec 10 (Hina) - Croatia is a small country making big progress in the area of human rights, Deputy Premier Zeljka Antunovic said Monday on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day. The Croatian government is ready to
support each activity which would additionally warn about the necessity of the promotion and respect of human rights in Croatia, Antunovic said after today's ceremonial session of the government's Human Rights Commission. She assessed a trend of accomplishing human rights in Croatia was positive. Antunovic, however, said Croatia was at the moment burdened with different problems in the area of human rights, the roots of which originate in war and post-war difficulties, but also problems which individuals face because of the difficult economic and social status, that is, a high and recognisable level of poverty. Antunovic, however, said Croatia was at the moment burdened with

on its solution, and called on everybody to take part in solving

A quarterly bulletin issued by the Human Rights Office was
presented at the session.
