on the quality of health care in Zagreb on Saturday. Medical staff should be rewarded in line with indicators such as the time the patient has to wait for an operation, the number of deceased patients and hospital infections, hospital admission, the quality of treatment etc, Vlahusic said at the seminar. Minister Andro Vlahusic said at a two-day seminar on the quality of
health care in Zagreb on Saturday.
Medical staff should be rewarded in line with indicators such as the
time the patient has to wait for an operation, the number of
deceased patients and hospital infections, hospital admission, the

An opinion poll on patients' satisfaction with health care will be
completed in late March next year, which will provide insight into
the performance of hospitals.
Former Health Minister Ana Stavljenic Rukavina announced the
establishment of a government agency for the quality of medical
care, which would control the quality of medical care in all health
institutions.
The British Government has provided 220,000 pounds for the
consulting services of British experts, who are to visit Croatia,
and the education of Croatian experts abroad.
Today's seminar gathered some 350 participants from Croatia,
representatives of the World Health Organisation, the European
hospital association, and other international institutions.
