PRISTINA-Politika HAEKKERUP TO MEET BELGRADE DELEGATION TUESDAY PRISTINA, Oct 29 (Hina) - The civil administrator of the UN Mission to Kosovo, (UNMIK), Hans Haekkerup will meet a Belgrade delegation in Pristina Tuesday in order to
discuss guarantees for the polling of Kosovo Serbs in the general elections to be held November 17, UNMIK's spokeswoman Susan Manuel said at a press conference in Pristina Monday. She said progress has been made during the meeting between Haekkerup and Yugoslav officials in Pristina Sunday. According to Manuel, Haekkerup believes an agreement will be signed soon. She added a joint document on Kosovo Serbs' participation on the polls is being developed. In case there would be no agreement, Serbs would not participate in Kosovo elections. The lack of involvement of Serbs at the elections would not, however, affect the work of the Kosovo parliament, she said.(hina) np
