PRISTINA, Oct 12 (Hina) - French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine urged in Pristina on Friday creating a multiethnic society after a Nov. 14 Kosovo parliamentary election. "I am here to prove that France advocates the creation of a
democratic Kosovo," Vedrine said at the end of his visit to the southern Yugoslav province, during which he met UN and KFOR representatives and local political leaders. Vedrine said he told the politicians France would support the creation of democratic multiethnic institutions in the province. "We have to build a multiethnic Kosovo, which will depend on Kosovo's Albanian and Serb leaders," he told reporters. The international community will help if the people show a "clear and healthy vision of the future," Vedrine said. He requested local political leaders to use their influence to urge Albanian Macedonians to respect the Ohrid Agreement.(hina) ha
