foreign currency deposits accounted for 49.2 billion kuna (US$6 million), or 84 percent, of this amount. Foreign currency deposits have continued to increase, and the increase in July and August has additionally accelerated, according to the Croatian National Bank (HNB). HNB data show that the real increase of foreign currency deposits in the first quarter was six and in the second five percent. In July and August foreign currency deposits increased in real term value by 11 percent (the increase in August was 8%). have the biggest impact on foreign currency deposits.
