ZAGREB ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - An international fair of furniture, interior design and supporting industries was opened at the Zagreb Fair (ZV) on Wednesday by a Croatian Deputy Premier, Zeljka Antunovic. The 17-21 October fair has
drawn 535 participants. Of them, 310 are exhibitors from 26 foreign countries. Deputy PM Antunovic said the national timber and wood industry had bright prospects and could contribute to the overall economic growth. Latest business results show the improvement in all the branches of this industry, but this was still below the expected results, she said adding that this industry needs fresh investment, reconstruction of the existing plants and the building of new ones and adjustment to new market conditions. The fair called "Ambienta" is taking place at 30,000 square metres, and the number of foreign exhibitors climbed by 20 percent this year as against the last year's
