ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - Parliament's credentials and privileges commission decided by a majority vote on Thursday to move that parliament strip of immunity Ivica Pasalic, Drago Krpina, and Ivan Jarnjak, MPs of the largest opposition's
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). The State Prosecutor's Office has charged Pasalic and Krpina with instigating and participating in crimes related to the ownership transformation and privatisation of Slobodna Dalmacija daily. Jarnjak is charged with abuse of office and authority on suspicion that, as interior minister, he stopped the prosecution of people suspected of embezzlement in the privatisation of Slobodna Dalmacija. Although the three MPs publicly renounced immunity, claiming they wanted to prove their innocence in court, Vladimir Seks of the HDZ said the charges against them were rigged political processes and continued criminalisation of the HDZ and its MPs.(hi
