ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - An alliance of associations of families of imprisoned and missing Croatian soldiers expressed dissatisfaction with inadequate actions by Croatian institutions in finding the whereabouts of 1,423 persons missing
for more than 10 years and in punishing those responsible for war crimes. So far 3,287 corpses of imprisoned and missing soldiers and civilians have been exhumed in Croatia, of which 2,659 have been identified. The whereabouts of 1,423 persons, of which 748 from Vukovar-Srijem County, are still unknown. Forensic institutes have the bodies of 619 people awaiting to be identified. The remains include those of recently exhumed persons from Lika-Senj County. A total of 129 mass graves have been discovered in Croatia.
