ZAGREB, Oct 15 (Hina) - The State Prosecutor's Office is waiting for the police to submit the first results of an investigation and expert opinion before possibly pressing charges for the sudden death of 21 patients in eight
heamodialysis centres, Deputy State Prosecutor Petar Pulisevic said on Monday. Police head Ranko Ostojic and Deputy Interior Minister Josip Vresk today briefed the Croatian government at its an emergency session about the current results of the investigation. These results indicate that all the casualties underwent dialysis in which the Plivadial device, series P-15 and P-18, was used. The device is manufactured for and delivered to the domestic drugs company Pliva by the United States company Baxter.
