ZAGREB, Oct 1 (Hina) - The only successful way to combat terrorism is to eliminate its causes, such as the gap between the wealthy and the poor, and to create an international community based on fairness, 38 non-governmental
organisations said in a statement about the recent terrorist attacks in the United States. In the statement, delivered to Hina, NGOs from Croatia and several neighbouring states condemn the terrorist attacks on the U.S. but point out the concrete answer must not be a retaliatory military operation but the strengthening of international mechanisms and cooperation in investigating, extraditing and punishing the culprits.
