BELGRADE, Sept 14 (Hina) - Yugoslavia is one of few countries that has not proclaimed a day of mourning in the aftermath of Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the United States. A day of mourning has been observed in Montenegro, the
republic that makes up Yugoslavia along with Serbia. The Yugoslav government held an emergency session Thursday, and sent a letter of condolence to the American people and government. The Serbian government did the same the previous day, pointing out they "know what terrorism is, because they had been victims of terrorism as well." Some Belgrade TV stations, like the independent station "B-92", along with "Studio B" and "TV Politika", however, interrupted their programme at noon Friday, broadcasting the events taking place Tuesday, after two hijacked planes hit the World Trade Centre twin towers in New York.(hina) js
