BELGRADE, Sept 24 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic on Monday dismissed claims made by Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica under which the Serbian government "is undermining the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia", and
added the so-called federal government was nothing but a "duplicate of the Serbian government, because it has no powers on the Montenegrin territory." "I am sorry things are as they are, but that is not my fault. This is not within my competence. My obligation is to protect the Serbian citizens' interests," Djindjic told today's issue of Belgrade's daily "Blic", adding the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was "a pure fabrication." Kostunica accused the Serbian government of being inefficient and failing to fulfil a single electoral promise. Djindjic said Kostunica and his Democratic Party of Serbia are attacking the Serbian government because they failed to redefine relations within the Federation
