PRISTINA, Aug 31 (Hina) - At least 1,500 refugees who found shelter in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo fleeing the conflict in Macedonia returned to their homes on Friday. Although the returns are still not organised and the
refugees are returning of their own accord, they are receiving assistance from the UNHCR Mission and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and local humanitarian organisations. Compared to the situation of several days ago, the refugees are crossing the Kosovo-Macedonia border without any major problems and are not complaining about the conduct of Macedonian authorities. About 32,000 refugees have returned from Kosovo to Macedonia so far, whereas at least 46,000 still remain in the province.(hina) rml
