PODGORICA, Sept 17 (Hina) - The president of Montenegro and the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has said "the DPS will not give up on its strategic commitment - the independent and internationally recognised state of Montenegro -
as a crucial condition for further democratic development." President Milo Djukanovic said on Sunday "the referendum is the democratic means" for the realisation of that goal that, with the agreement of all relevant political parties, will ensure the respect of the citizens' will. Djukanovic has accepted Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica's invitation for a meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday to resume talks on Montenegro-Serbia relations, presidential adviser Miodrag Vukovic said on Monday. He added the talks should determine whether it was possible to reach an agreement on an alliance of two internationally recognised states, or if both sides would stick by their positions.(hi
