Social Democratic Party's (SDP) Head Committee chairwoman Gordana Sobol stated at a press conference Wednesday the attack was aimed at the democratic principles of the modern world, adding it also signified a change in the world's attitude towards international terrorism and its threat to peace. Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the United States, and offered
condolences to the American people and victims' relatives on
Wednesday.
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) President Ivo Sanader warned that
terrorism was becoming more unscrupulous and monstrous.
Social Democratic Party's (SDP) Head Committee chairwoman Gordana
Sobol stated at a press conference Wednesday the attack was aimed at
the democratic principles of the modern world, adding it also
signified a change in the world's attitude towards international
terrorism and its threat to peace.
"No country, nobody anywhere deserves such madness," Croatian
People's Party (HNS) press release stated.
HNS fears the terrorist attack on innocent victims in the US
represents "the day when the future of the world and civilisation as
we know it irrevocably and violently turned into another,
completely unknown direction."
Croatian Democratic Action Party (SDA) joined in condemning the
attacks and offering condolences to the American people.
Military ordinary Juraj Jezerinac and head vicar of the Military
ordinariat Josko Santic sent their condolences to the American
military archbishop Edwin Frederick O'Brien, Catholic news agency
Ika reported Wednesday. Ika also announced there will be a prayer
held for the victims of the attack.
Among numerous associations and individuals offering their
condolences to the US Ambassador to Croatia Lawrence Rossin, was
the Croatian Journalists' Association.
