ZAGREB, Aug 22 (Hina) - President of the Association of Farmers of Slavonia and Baranja (ZUSSB), Antun Laslo, wrote to Prime Minister Ivica Racan this morning, informing him the association would not be attending a meeting Racan
scheduled for this afternoon. In the letter Laslo explained ZUSSB representatives would not be present at the meeting because of the two other farmers associations, the Croatian Peasants' Union and the Association of Family Farms, who he considers to be, as he put it, the extended arm of the Agriculture Ministry and Minister Pankretic. "They passively observed the purchase and payment of wheat this year, and were satisfied with the dynamics of the payments," Laslo said in the letter.
