first interlocutor in a series of talks aimed at advancing
Yugoslavia's cooperation with the UN tribunal.
The details of the meeting have not been disclosed.
Later today, del Ponte is to hold talks with Serbian Prime Minister
Zoran Djindjic, Yugoslav Justice Minister Sava Markovic, Serbian
Justice Minister Vladan Batic, district attorneys, and
representatives of Serbia's Interior Ministry.

Before arriving in the Yugoslav capital yesterday, del Ponte said
her talks would focus on the extradition of all Hague tribunal
indictees who are on Serbia's territory.
In a brief statement to Danas daily of Tuesday, del Ponte said there
were some commitments assumed by international law. Some things are
very clear and the indicted must be extradited, she was quoted as
saying.
Upon arriving to Belgrade, the chief prosecutor held a meeting with
ambassadors and representatives of the international community. No
statements were made.
