WASHINGTON, July 9 (Hina) - The volunteers of America's Peace Corps, a non-government organisation whose members are helping developing countries around the world in many ways, have withdrawn from Macedonia over the past few days due
to a deteriorating situation in the country. The Peace Corps headquarters in Washington announced on Monday that 43 volunteers moved to neighbouring Bulgaria, from where they would return back to the United States or leave for other missions. The organisation regrets to have discontinued the successful five-year cooperation with the Macedonian government. Since 1996, some 100 American volunteers had participated in Peace Corps programs, mostly English language courses, in Macedonia.(hina) np rml
