PRISTINA, June 30 (Hina) - The peace forces in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo arrested 90 people on Friday suspected of belonging to groups of armed Albanians active in neighbouring Macedonia, KFOR officials said in Pristina
on Saturday. In two separate operations yesterday afternoon KFOR members arrested some 60 persons near Zlokucane, a village near the Macedonian border, seizing a small quantity of weaponry, said KFOR spokesman Roy Brown. They are suspected of being members of the National Liberation Army. An investigation will be carried out. According to first accounts, the arrested come from Macedonia, said Brown. All 90 arrested Albanians are detained in several KFOR centres. Brown said the latest operations indicated KFOR's attempts to establish security in Kosovo and prevent groups of armed Albanians from operating in Macedonia.
