OSIJEK: COURT DELIVERS PRISON SENTENCES FOR SERBS ACCUSED OF GENOCIDE OSIJEK, July 6 (Hina) - The Osijek County Court on Friday made a non-final ruling imposing prison sentences in absentia on Croatian Serbs Srecko Radovanovic, Stojan
Zivkovic, Zoran Stojcic and Milan Miljkovic who were charged with the expulsion (genocide) of the residents of Sodolovci, Ernestinovo, Koprivna and Paulin Dvor during Croatia's war of independence. The four Serbs, for whom arrest warrants have been issued, were tried in absentia because they fled to Yugoslavia or other countries after the peaceful reintegration of Croatia's eastern Slavonia region. Radovanovic was sentenced to 12, Zivkovic to 10, and Miljkovic and Stojcic each to five years in prison. The court indicted four other Serbs, of whom two were present at the court, but the prosecution rested the case because witnesses did not charge the indictees during the hearing of evidence.(hina) rml
