ZAGREB, July 5 (Hina) - With 14.5 billion kuna (approx. $1.7 billion) made in income earnings in 2000, oil company INA is Croatia's most successful company among 400 listed by the Money Transfer Service in cooperation with the Economy
Bulletin.
ZAGREB, July 5 (Hina) - With 14.5 billion kuna (approx. $1.7
billion) made in income earnings in 2000, oil company INA is
Croatia's most successful company among 400 listed by the Money
Transfer Service in cooperation with the Economy Bulletin.#L#
The pharmaceutical company Pliva and Croatian Telecom lead the list
as to returns, INA and Pliva are the leading exporters, INA and the
power utility company HEP the biggest importers. The Agip Croatia
company made 100 percent of its income earnings through export.
Last year 400 of Croatia's biggest out of 58,773 registered
companies realised 40.1 percent of the national economy's total
income earnings, and 56.7 percent of post-taxation profits. Said
companies employ 35.4 percent of all employees in Croatia, and
participate in the Croatian business' entire capital and reserves
with 62.4 percent. The value of their balance in the entire economy
exceeds 51 percent.
