TEHRAN, June 20 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and about ten Croatian companies, included in a Croatian delegation to Iran, led by President Stipe Mesic, on Wednesday met Iranian businessmen to discuss
the two countries' economic cooperation. President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Nadan Vidosevic told reporters Iranian businessmen expressed wish to use Croatia as the entering point to the region. One of the first steps will be organising an exhibition of Iran's economy in Zagreb by October. Croatia's oil company INA is already on the path of realising concrete projects after Wednesday's signing of a memorandum on cooperation with Iran's national oil company (NIOC). RIZ and Koncar representatives are also to sign agreements.
There are great possibilities for Croatia's shipbuilding industry
because Iran plans to order about 100 new ships.
Croatian and Iranian economists agreed cooperation in several
medical science and cultural projects.
