NEW YORK, June 9 (Hina) - Croatia's minister of environmental protection and zoning, Bozo Kovacevic, on Friday held talks with the executive directors of the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (UNCHS), Anna Tibaijuka, in New
York. He informed her about a scope of destruction done to Croatia's towns and villages during the aggression against the country in early 1990s and about moves the government was taking to renovate the war-hit areas. Minister Kovacevic told the UN official that the Croatian government had decided to donate 5,000 dollars as assistance to the work of the UNCHS work. The UNCHS director said this donation of a country such a Croatia had great moral weight and should force rich nations to help the Centre's work.
