The loan has been granted for a period of 15 years with a five-year
grace. The interest rate is a six-month LIBOR with a low interest
margin for the covering of World Bank costs.
The loan agreement must first be verified by the Croatian
government and parliament and the World Bank. It is expected the
first instalment, worth some 100 million dollars, could be drawn in
September or October. The second instalment, worth another 100
million dollars, is expected in spring or summer next year, once
certain requirements have been met.
