SISAK, June 4 (Hina) - A Croatian Serb returnee Dj.Dj. was apprehended on Monday by police at the Croatian-Bosnian border crossing of Matijevic (near the town of Dvor na Uni) as he is suspected of having perpetrated a war crime
against civilians in 1991. The county court in Sisak (some 50 kilometres south-east of Zagreb) issued a warrant for his arrest on the founded suspicion that this Croat citizen of the Serb origin had been involved in attacks against local Croatian population in the villages of Zamlaca and Struga Banska (in the valley of the Una river) in autumn in 1991. In those attacks launched by Serb rebels, several Croatian civilians and soldiers were killed, and the caught Croatian policemen were massacred. Upon his apprehension Dj. Dj (aged 46) was escorted to the Sisak county court where he was detained in custody.(hina) sb ms
