Croatian Sabor Speaker Zlatko Tomcic today handed to members of the
diplomatic corps accredited to Croatia conclusions of the Croatian
Sabor on relations between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as
regards the implementation of the Dayton agreement.
Muratovic told reporters the conclusions were "actually the first
document of the entirely open and transparent policy of the
Republic of Croatia toward Bosnia-Herzegovina" and voiced hope
Croatia would implement them.
"Bosnia-Herzegovina will be very pleased to do all it can to itself
act in the spirit of those conclusions and toward improving the
relations," Muratovic said.
On March 30, the Croatian parliament adopted conclusions
emphasising Croatia's support for the implementation of the Dayton
agreement and the Bosnia-Herzegovina Constitutional Court
decision on all three BH peoples being constituent throughout the
country's territory. The document conveyed Croatia's concern about
decisions made by the Croat National Congress which declared Croat
self-rule in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Tomcic said Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina were interested in
establishing stability in the region with the help of the European
Union.
A representative of Sweden, the country chairing the EU, Ingemar
Boerjesson, said he could only welcome the conclusions and the
ambassadors had to study them yet.
