BELGRADE, April 4 (Hina) - British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook reiterated in Belgrade on Wednesday the demand that former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic be extradited to UN's war crimes tribunal in The Hague, but also voiced
willingness to wait until Milosevic was first prosecuted in Belgrade. Speaking to reporters after talks with Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, Cook said Milosevic should be prosecuted in Yugoslavia for crimes committed on his own people. Later, Milosevic must account before the Hague tribunal for crimes on other peoples in the region, he added. Asked if Milosevic's extradition to The Hague should be linked with economic assistance to Yugoslavia, the British official said he believed a donor conference for Yugoslavia should be held and help reconstruction.
