PICULA ON MILOSEVIC'S ADMISSION TO FINANCING AGGRESSION ON CROATIA

ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic's recent admission that he financed the early 1990s aggression on Croatia and Bosnia "surprises nobody in Croatia today," Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula said in a statement on Wednesday. Picula reiterated the need that Milosevic, arrested last weekend, should be extradited to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague as soon as possible. "Milosevic's admission to the aggression, like the former admission of his yes-man Mile Martic to the shelling of Zagreb, only makes the need for Milosevic's extradition to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague more urgent and easier. Milosevic and all criminals must account for the crimes committed against neighbouring states and nations," Picula said the written statement.(hina) ha sb
