BELGRADE, April 1 (Hina) - Serbia's Justice Minister Vladan Matic on early Sunday afternoon said the questioning of Slobodan Milosevic was under way. At a news conference Batic said Milosevic was being interrogated in the presence of
investigators and his defence lawyers. After the interview the judge should decide on Milosevic's detention in custody, Batic added. A former Yugoslav and Serbian president, Slobodan Milosevic, was apprehended in Belgrade at about 04.30 am Sunday following a 30-hour-long stand-off between the police and his security guards, and was whisked away to prison. The Serbian Interior Ministry stated in the morning that Milosevic was nabbed for criminal acts such as graft, abuse of office and falsification of official documents referring to the purchase of a private villa. insist on his extradition to the headquarters of the ICTY
(International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia) in The
Hague where he should be tried for war crimes.
