ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) - Parliamentary speaker Zlatko Tomcic on Friday held talks with Bulgarian Ambassador Velizar Encev on the topical events in Macedonia, namely the conflicts between the Macedonian army and Albanian extremists.
Encev briefed Tomcic about a declaration the Bulgarian parliament adopted on the matter. The ambassador said Bulgaria was concerned about the developments in Macedonia as the two countries are geopolitical and military allies. Macedonia has a Bulgarian minority and there is danger the conflict might spread, he said and stressed Bulgaria never had territorial aspirations towards its western neighbour, but supported it as an independent country.
