ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croatia has been striving to become a completely democratic country and member of Euro-Atlantic organisations and one of the best ways to achieve that goal is to educate personnel, which the United States too
has decided to help the country attain, US Ambassador Lawrence Rossin said in Zagreb on Thursday. The US Ambassador was a guest at a ceremony at which diplomas were handed to Croatian citizens who completed a training course within a programme called TRANSIT (Technical Training for Societies in Transition) of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The programme, conducted by a US non-profit and non-government organisation World Learning, currently includes, apart from Croatia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Romania. The diplomas were handed to 123 course takers coming from a wide range of services - from state officials and parliamentary deputies to
