ZAGREB TO HOST 'DAYS OF WALES' THROUGHOUT MARCH

ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - On March 1, the Welsh St. David's holiday, Zagreb will host Days of Wales, an event at which the British country will present its contemporary cultural output.#L# Days of Wales officially begins with a speech on the Welsh experience by Ron Davies, a member of the Welsh Assembly and the British parliament, and a lecture on the Welsh language by Robert Owen Jones. The event will feature literary evenings with appearances by Welsh writers and poets, exhibitions of publications, paintings, photographs, installations and video works, short and feature films made in Wales, and theatrical productions. Days of Wales, which closes at the end of March, was launched by the British Council in Zagreb and organised in cooperation with the Croatian Cutlure Ministry and the Welsh Culture Council.
