ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Thursday received a letter by Council of Europe Secretary-General Walter Schwimmer expressing support to the Croatian government in transition as well as understanding for all problems, a government senior official told Hina. "Schwimmer also expressed full support to the establishment of a law-based state and principles of an independent and effective justice system," the source said. On Tuesday in the wake of political events connected with the Norac case, Schwimmer gave a statement expressing concern with events which could be viewed as a dangerous show of nationalism and manipulation of patriotism to which certain political powers in Croatia have resorted.
