ZAGREB, Feb 23 (Hina) - The Croatian People's Party (HNS) disagrees with today's decision to abolish parliament's House of Counties but will accept the stance of the other five partners in the ruling coalition, HNS head committee
chairman Radimir Cacic said on Friday. The committee believes "new constitutional changes (to that end) will diminish the essence of the Constitution," Cacic told Hina. He added new changes were contrary to principles of steadfastness of the constitutional system as the constitution was last amended only three months ago. Cacic believes the upper house should have been abolished then, as had been suggested by President Stipe Mesic.(hina) ha
