SARAJEVO, Feb 23 (Hina) - The new House of Nations of the Bosnian Federation's parliament held its constituent session on Friday. Its first session was conducted without representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH).
Present at the session were 55 out of 58 deputies who have so far been elected by assemblies in cantons in the Croat-Moslem entity. Under the election rules and the constitution of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the federal House of Nations consists of a total of 80 representatives: Bosniaks (Moslems) and Croats have each 30 representatives, and other peoples have together 20 representatives. To date, Croat representatives have not been elected by cantonal assemblies where the HDZ BiH has a majority.
