ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Saturday said that a warrant issued for the arrest of retired General Mirko Norac was only a motive used by those "who were able to do the unpermitted things without
sanctions". "I am not worried, what is happening now, could have been expected", Racan said at Saturday's session of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). The government must not respond to requests to interfere in courts' decisions because we are oriented toward a democratic Croatia and rule-of-law and it is our duty to protect the independence of judiciary even when we are not satisfied with its efficiency, Racan said.
