ZAGREB, Jan 22 (Hina) - A period of high liquidity of the banking system is still prevailing on the money market, which can best be seen from the offer-demand ratio. Funds for crediting were 3.8 times higher than demand in last week's
overnight transactions. Between 102 and 202 million kuna remained non-issued. However, the interest rate has been on the increase. Last week, it amounted to an average 2.24 percent annually or 11 basis points more than the week before. The lowest interest rate was reported on Monday - 1.82 percent and the highest on Thursday - 2.61 percent. Money offer in daily crediting was on the average 2.8 times higher than demand. Interest in new short-term loans was poor. The average interest rate this week amounted to 5.81 percent.(hina) rml
