SIBENIK, Jan 18 (Hina) - The county court in the southern Croatian town of Sibenik has decided to launch an investigation and criminal proceedings against a former commander of the Sibenik Military Police, who is suspected of
encouraging some members of the Military Police to kill four persons in 1992, State Prosecutor Zeljko Zganjer said on Thursday. The investigative proceedings should start at the Sibenik County Court on January 22. According to the court decision, the former military police commander, identified only by his initials, T.P., encouraged the killing of Nikola Vukosic, the then superintendent of the Sibenik police department, and Ivo Fustin, the then head of the crime police section. The murder of the two men were to be presented as revenge by Sibenik Serbs for the murder of two local Serbs, whom military police were to massacre and leave lying on the streets of Sibenik.(hina) rml
