LJUBLJANA, Dec 16 (Hina) - Slovenia's Constitutional Court ruled
that the Croatian-Slovene agreement on the nuclear power plant in
Krsko was not in contradiction with the Slovene Constitution, State
Radio reported on Monday. #L#
The text of the ruling has not yet been announced, but the
Constitutional Court's judges assessed that the opinion of Krsko
local authorities that the said agreement "excludes the nuclear
power plant from the Slovene legal system" was wrong, the radio
reported.
The local authorities lodged a complaint about the agreement to the
Court, asking it to assess whether the document was in line with the
country's constitution.
Ljubljana has so far cited the waiting for the Court's decision as
the main reason for postponement of the ratification of the
bilateral agreement in the Slovene parliament.
