sitting early on Saturday morning by adopting the state budget for
2003 and a law on its execution. #L#
The 2003 budget totals 87.6 billion kuna, priorities being science
and education and the resumption of reforms in justice,
agriculture, etc.
Such an orientation was confirmed with government amendments to the
law on the execution of the budget, which were endorsed by most MPs.
The use of reform funds will be made conditional on the
implementation of reforms and development projects.
The marathon vote on the budget and several related laws started
yesterday morning and ended in the early morning hours on
Saturday.
The parliament resumes its 26th sitting on Wednesday next week,
when it is to discuss and adopt a constitutional law on minority
rights.
The regular parliamentary sitting ends on December 15.
