ZAGREB, Dec 11 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Wednesday resumed its 26th sitting by observing a minute of silence in tribute to the first Croatian president, late Franjo Tudjman. The third anniversary of Tudjman's death was marked on Tuesday. #L# Without a debate and the presence of government officials the parliament considered a decision to send two members of the Croatian Armed Forces on the UN peace mission in western Sahara (MINURSO). The soldiers would be on mission for a year in the status of observers. The MPs will vote on the decision in the next couple of days. The parliament also considered, without a debate, changes to the law on the collection of data on those who pay compulsory contributions, income tax and surtax. Parliament president Zlatko Tomcic said that the final version of a constitutional bill on the rights of national minorities would be discussed on Thursday, while a bill on one-off collection of property tax, also called a bill on tycoon penalty tax, would be discussed on Friday. The parliament ends its regular sitting on December 15, but it is very probable that MPs will convene once again for an extraordinary session by the end of the year. (hina) rml
