Speaking about the importance of an agreement between Croatia and
Yugoslavia on the peninsula of Prevlaka, which completes U.N.
activities in Croatia, Madey pointed to other important
achievements: an agreement between Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Yugoslavia and Croatia on cooperation on the Sava river, the first
meeting of the most senior Croatian and Bosnian officials in
Hrvatska Kostajnica, and admission to the CEFTA.
Madey also pointed to Croatia's remaining obligations such as the
adoption of a law on Croatian Radio and Television and a
constitutional law on national minorities, the Ministry stated.
These results confirm Croatia's determination to fulfil its
international obligations and strengthen regional cooperation as
important components of its strategy of promoting relations with
the European Union, Madey said, adding the government was actively
considering to submit an application for full EU membership soon.
