The working group considered possibilities for submitting a
membership application in the EU next year.
Participants in the session defined modals for further activities
of Croatian diplomats and state administration with the aim of
preparing the membership application.
They discussed the country's position in the foreign affairs in the
context of the latest developments, and the results so far achieved
in the implementation of a Stabilisation and Association Agreement
(SAA).
It was said that in December Croatia would present to Brussels a
document which contains a survey of progress in the implementation
of obligations from the SAA since Zagreb and the Union signed it.
The document was endorsed by the government on 14 November 2002.
