Some things will happen faster, some will demand more time, but the
UNMIK will soon have a control over all functions on the northern
bank of the Ibar river, the spokesman said.
Education and health employees in the northern, mostly Serb
populated, part of Kosovska Mitrovica, receive wages from the
Serbian budget.
The UNMIK head Michael Steiner said that the establishment of the UN
administration in the northern part of the town would help the
development of economy in the region.
Investors and donors will now be able to examine the circumstances
in the region, he said.
