The creditors believe the company cannot continue operating but
that its workers should be paid the wages which the company's former
buyer, the Russian-Austrian consortium "Trubo-Impex", failed to
pay them, the bankruptcy committee chairwoman Vesna Buljan told
Hina, commenting on the decisions of the board of creditors.
Buljan dismissed claims that the Commercial Court shared
responsibility for the situation in the company, stressing that the
most important decisions were made by creditors and not by a court
or bankruptcy commissioner.
The board of creditors includes representatives of the town of
Sisak, the Croatian Oil Industry (INA), the Finance Ministry, the
Zagreb Fair and others.
